Fishing, hiking, birding, sight-seeing, swimming, sailing, dining in and dining out - family restaurants and fine dining restaurants, fine crafts and arts galleries, antique stores and flea markets, wondrous book stores, State & Town parks and lots of very friendly people.
Don’t forget to visit the Penobscot Marine Museum, MoosePoint State Park, Fort Point State Park with its historic lighthouse, hike Sears Island the largest uninhabited island on the east coast, the original Fort Knox with its beautiful campus and the Penobscot Narrrows bridge & observatory. The observatory is the only one of its kind in the Western Hemisphere.
You can get to all the premier sights from this area in easy day trips -however once you’ve stayed in our area we don't think you'll ever want to leave.
