I've visited Maureen in her workroom, which is like walking into a treasure chest of beads from all over the world. I came out with a chain of beads modeled on Middle Eastern originals. Her art is thoughtful and tailor-made. Highly recommended.

I have six necklaces Maureen made—and all are distinctly different. They include a 1930s style strand of jade; a Peruvian “museum piece” of old stones; a whimsical turquoise and coral rope of pendant frogs (she made this for me on request); a sterling silver beaded choker; an amethyst and amber piece; and finally a chain of old Venetian beads—Christopher Columbus era.

Maureen is an artist. Despite their diversity, her designs have her distinct stamp; however, she also has a keen eye for other peoples’ tastes and appearances. It’s worth it to write to her letting her know exactly what you like and what you look like—you’ll probably be pleasantly surprised with what she comes up with. Her creations are fun.
